Amazon launches faster Fire HD 8 tablets with more storage

Amazon has given its lineup of Fire HD 8 tablets an overhaul, complete with faster processors, more storage, and longer battery life. There's also a new edition built specifically for kids.

Starting at $89.99, the Fire HD 8 comes with 2GB of RAM and a 2.0GHz quad-core processor that's 30 percent faster than it's predecessor.

As for internal storage, you'll have the option between 32BGB or 62GB (which bumps the price up to $119.99). But there's also a microSD card for expandable storage of up to 1TB.

When it comes to battery life, the Fire HD 8 will last you up to 12 hours and comes with a USB-C port that it can fully charge the tablet in under five hours. Read more...
